I collaborated with Chef Rodrigo Pacheco to develop and implement the concept and identity of a restaurant unlike any other in Quito. It is a place where food is skillfully prepared and shared in a refined yet genuine setting, with ingredients sourced from nearby food forests. This direct connection between the kitchen and the food forest embodies a philosophy of urban development that can be replicated to produce better, tastier, and more diverse food in cities through the art of cooking. The concept integrates natural shapes, materials, and design elements that harmonize with the chef’s purpose and the theme of the food forest.
Partnering with my brother allowed us to challenge each other in coming up with adequate designs that honor the purpose, consider the target audience, and preserve the personality of the chef and his concept.
