As an open source platform originally created by Microsoft, .NET needed a brand expression that balanced corporate credibility with community energy, setting it apart from traditional Microsoft developer tools. Our challenge was refreshing the visual identity to feel vibrant and approachable while honoring its technical heritage. We preserved beloved elements like the iconic .NET Bot mascot, but gave it a contemporary edge alongside a dynamic color palette and modernized design system that speaks to both seasoned developers and newcomers to the platform.
