Bocavaldivia is a foundation dedicated to protecting and restoring devastated land. Despite its small size, the organization has ambitious goals, and our challenge was to create a brand system that reflects these aspirations while demonstrating that non-profits can have exceptional design. Beyond the visual identity, I contributed to defining the tone of voice and copywriting, as well as prototyping products, packaging, and other applications.
This project provided the opportunity to develop a comprehensive brand system, which captures the complexity of the territory. The region is one of the world’s 36 biodiversity hotspots, facing significant threats from climate change and aggressive local agriculture and development. The brand aims to communicate the urgency of conservation while inspiring engagement and action.
The impact of this work materialized in various opportunities across the world, such as the participation of chef Rodrigo Pacheco in a Netflix show, him becoming a Food and Agriculture ambassador for the United Nations, grants by the Rockefeller Foundation, support by the World Wide Fund, as well as articles in mainstream media such as National Geographic, CNN, and others.
